Take Congressional Rep. Louie Gohmert from the District 1 in steamy east Texas (to the right and down from Dallas) not far from where darkies get tied to the back of trucks and drug (Texas for "dragged") along back roads until they die. And where eminent domain means taking land and leaving in its wake black swamp waters glittering with oily slicks. We're talking about that part of our large and diverse Texas ecosystem.
Rep. Gohmert has used some dazzling brainwork to tie all his pet peeves together into one big liberal conspiracy. Here's Daily Intel's report:
Rep. Louie Gohmert, managed to link limits on high-capacity gun magazines to gay marriage to bestiality in three moves, in a quote that's been making the rounds thanks to Right Wing Watch, which dug it up from a February Tea Party conference call. The Texas Republican said he'd been meeting with "some wonderful, caring Democrats," who put the issue to him this way: "Surely you could agree to limit the number of rounds in a magazine, couldn't you? How would that be problematic?" Gohmert explained how he dazzled them with his forensic prowess.
That's pretty cool, really, when you think about it. We liberals don't make the right connections. Which is why we keep screwing things up for people like Louis Gohmert who is more familiar than most of us with nine-count magazines and three men with one animal. Makes you understand why them coon hounds in east Texas always look so put-upon, so down-hearted and mean."And I pointed out, well, once you make it ten, then why would you draw the line at ten? What's wrong with nine? Or eleven? And the problem is once you draw that limit ; it's kind of like marriage when you say it's not a man and a woman any more, then why not have three men and one woman, or four women and one man, or why not somebody has a love for an animal?
"There is no clear place to draw the line once you eliminate the traditional marriage and it's the same once you start putting limits on what guns can be used, then it's just really easy to have laws that make them all illegal."
