What's amazing is that Mitt Romney, now a man pushing past middle age, is so wholly unaware ofhow he affects others. He has alienated the Brits, that's for sure.
In what’s been widely panned as “Romney Shambles,” the presumptive GOP presidential nominee’s trip to Europe hasn’t gotten off to a great start. One senior British official told the Guardian of Romney’s Olympic comments: “What a total shocker. We are speechless,” while Daily Mail politics editor James Chapman quoted a source saying that Romney was “[a]pparently devoid of charm, warmth, humour or sincerity” in meetings with British officials.

Yet only two lifetimes ago, Britain ruled the largest and wealthiest empire in the history of humankind. Britain controlled a quarter of the earth's land and a quarter of the earth's population. ...Foreign Policy
There are no plans to civilize Mitt.
"What are you going to do to make Americans like Mitt Romney more?" Piers Morgan asked Romney's wife Ann in his native England, a question that the couple met with a solid three-second awkward laugh during which Mitt stares at Ann. His eyes say, "Did Piers really just ask that?" as well as, "What are you going do?!" Ann responds, with a tinge of resentment and frustration, "I don't know about that one." ...Daily Intel
