The news has just come in that the Komen foundation will restore funding to Planned Parenthood. They've backed off.
I think the employment figure today will show -- soon -- a loss of at least one job at the foundation. They handled this issue really, really badly. Someone is bound to pay the price for this embarrassment.
Aside from anything else, critics have pointed out that Komen gave, as its justification for cutting off Planned Parenthood the "fact" that PP is being "investigated." The "investigation" -- sounds like a police action, doesn't it? or something from the Justice Department -- is in fact the action of one member of Congress looking to investigate the non-profit for purely political reasons...
