NPR reports that even the other candidates (who are getting money from somewhere themselves, after all) are aiming at Romney's money. Who's backing him? Where's all that money coming from.
It's not just a candidate-level political fight. Iowans are on a growing team of "Not Romney" voters. Alexandra Petri observes that you'd think "that the Family Table Restaurant in Atlantic, Iowa — Mitt Romney’s first campaign stop of 2012 — would be a good place to find Romney supporters."
But as usual with Romney, you would be mistaken.
Throughout the campaign, there have been many strong Not Romney supporters. If Not Romney were an actual candidate, he would be leading the pack. In fact, he has been for the past few months, under varying names. People are so eager not to vote for Romney that, after exhausting all other options, they are preparing to vote for Rick Santorum, whom many of them have never heard of, even though he took them out for coffee that one time. ...WaPo

Newt Gingrich is in a sour mood.
Hours after he told reporters in Des Moines that Romney “would buy an election, if he could” — a line he later repeated — Gingrich held a news conference here at Junction Sports Bar and Grill. Gingrich — who has pledged to run a positive campaign — said he plans to go after Romney on the air in New Hampshire, but that his ads won’t be “factually false” or “deliberately gotcha” like those of the pro-Romney super PAC Restore Our Future.
“Someone who will lie to you to get to be president,” Gingrich said, “will lie to you when they are president.” ...WaPo
Coming from a man who never lies, right?
