What is the opposite of "endorse"? Like maybe rip the whole thing up and throw the pieces away? That's how this blogger feels about the Republican candidates. Not an old-fashioned decent human being in the group.
Where does Newt Gingrich rate in the group? Pretty low. High profile, but low quality. The Hill has a preview of his wife's assessment.
Marianne Gingrich says in the interview that her husband wanted an open marriage so that he could remain married but continue a romantic involvement with a congressional aide who eventually became his third wife, Callista Gingrich.
“I said to him, we’ve been married a long time,” Marianne said. “And I just stared at him and he said – ‘but you want me all to yourself. Callista doesn’t care what I do…he was asking to have an open marriage and I refused…that I accept the fact that he has somebody else in his life.”
“No, no, that is not a marriage,” Marianne added ...The Hill
If he'd asked first? Would that make a difference? Who knows...
We do know this. We know from plenty of experience that a president is, perforce, "married" to his job, captive in the presidency. He can't take off because the weather is rotten and Congress is behaving badly and Michelle wants him to pick up his clothes before he gets into bed. He can't just up and go with a date to a Caribbean beach with no phone, no advisors, no Secret Service guys, no nuclear code.
Open presidency? I don't think so.

A reminder:
Last year, in a written affidavit to the conservative FAMILY Leader, thrice married Newt Gingrich pledged to “defend” traditional marriage between one man and one woman, writing, “As President, I will vigorously enforce the Defense of Marriage Act, which was enacted under my leadership as Speaker of the House, and ensure compliance with its provisions.” “I will support sending a federal constitutional amendment defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman to the states for ratification. I will also oppose any judicial, bureaucratic, or legislative effort to define marriage in any manner other than as between one man and one woman.” ...Think Progress
