As many have noticed -- you and me and Pew Research's Andrew Kohut among them -- is the weird anomaly of the Republicans being deeply unpopular when polls ask about the most unpopular institutions and yet "winning" the midterms.
At some point, an analysis will be done and (I bet) the results will show Democrats the route out of the box they're in right now. Whether the Dems will recognize and seize the opportunity or not we can only guess. But one Republican mess in Congress -- another legislative screw-up or another page screwed by a Republican legislator -- may set off an interesting reaction.
