Ho-ho, Mr. Claus. Barack Obama has been good all year and deserves some treats in his Christmas stocking. But he's finally figured out that playing Mr. Nicey-Nicey with the opposition is a bad deal. He says he's tired of their "carping" about the costs of the health care reform bill. What took him so long?
According to the Examiner, the only rag that's picked up on the "carping" remark so far: "According to Obama, passage of the bill would reduce $132 billion from the deficit in the first ten years, and over a trillion in the next ten years."
Actually, that's pretty much what the CBO has said. So the Examiner carps, too.
2010 is the year when we should do what the people around the Great Lakes are doing: kill the carp. Which are more dangerous to our environment? Carp? Or movement conservatives?
