Ben Bernanke is smart and capable, honorable and honest. Yet his
renomination signals continuity in policy from the late Bush era,
through this year and onward. President Obama passed up a chance to
reorganize his economic team. When the moment comes that the policy has
to change, the task will not be easier, because of this.
