I'm not as down on Castro as we Americans are expected to be, so frankly I think the comparison Andrew Sullivan draws between Rush Limbaugh and Fidel Castro to be a little unfair to the latter. For sure, though, both are blowhards.
What's more, both are vicious when crossed. Both acquired more power than they deserve. Both of them are corrupt and egotistical. And an enormous sigh of relief will greet both their demises, even from those who went along with them.
Note: Castro a goner. Limbaugh's new rival in bombast and self-regard is Hugo Chavez. Meanwhile, one old tinpot is doing wheelies on Dallas streets.
