I'm not willing to dump on people who stand against stem cell research though I disagree with them profoundly and believe they have something to answer for. But when I think of George W. Bush stopping stem cell research for "moral" reasons while blithely sailing past the hellacious moral damage he did during his two-term presidency (and he continues to do now, in absentia), it's hard not to consign the man to fiery furnaces in the great kingdom below. How can we turn around the death-clutch of false morality that still grips so many in this country? Confront it head on? Just hope it dies out?
