Here in the freedom-loving land of America there's a town named Independence where a woman was arrested for not returning a library book. Yes, it's true, fellow readers. She was arrested for borrowing, last April, "The Freedom Writers Diary", a book valued at about $14. She's had it since last April. They tried to contact her. She doesn't have a phone listing. Finally they arrested her. She's out on $250 bond. No do-over. No executive privilege. No commutation.
As you know, Americans are sticklers when it comes to obeying the law. The law's the law. No one is above the law. Right?
