This discussion about what to do with the Detroit Three was interesting and surprisingly illuminating.  The fact that the problem is probably going to be shoved from Congress and the Bush administration into the Obama administration is a bit scary.  No, pretty damn scary.  In the meantime, the arguments about whether or not to save Detroit, auto workers, casually incompetent industry execs and the rest tell us a good deal about what we've become as a society.
