Roger Simon believes that the McCain campaign is unable to control Sarah Palin and her free-wheeling campaign antics are doing McCain some damage.
"Sarah Palin, once seen as a huge plus to the ticket, is now increasingly emerging as a liability.
"... The real problem for McCain is that Palin is running a separate — and scary — campaign that does not seem to be under anybody’s control."
Seems to me Palin has pumped herself up into some sort of vendetta aimed at Obama -- even as John McCain tries to defuse his supporters' most vicious attacks. What's her motivation? One can only imagine. Maybe the answer is the most simple and obvious one: for Sarah Palin, governor/predator, Barack Obama isn't "one of us."
Update: In a not necessarily unrelated piece of news (hasn't Palin been campaigning in the northern Rockies?), we learn that measures are being taken to control predators.
