Paul Krugman is the object of crushes, including mine. He's not only smart, he's funny and he has a couple of neat cats.
But he is sometimes annoyingly imperfect. For ages now he's been trying to teach economics to the right. If the flow of money is part of "economics," then hey, we already know the Republican party is made up of patented pricks. Patented pricks are people who may even know they're wrong but, having accepted the beliefs of their cohort, the "prick" patent and is more valuable to them mere facts. Trying to educate them is a waste of time.
If the ability to handle budgets is any of Republican economic knowledge then, for god's sake, the past thirty years have proven that Republicans probably can't even define the word "budget," much less create and follow one. So please! Don't spend anymore time in the company of Joe Scarborough. And quit elevating Paul Ryan by posting charts that prove him wrong. The guy is already a laughingstock. Whereas Scarborough is definitely a patented prick, Ryan, though he also qualifies, is already well on his way to the realm where people like Newt Gingrich hang out, some in hospital whites.
xx,
Yr. humble servant.
I caught Prof. Krugman yesterday on Morning Joe. The show always uses Richard Haas to try and present their Neo-Con position and drive it home. Paul quickly demonstrated why he's the guy with the Nobel. The look on Haas' face was priceless, bieng out of his depth, panic quickly ensued. Today's show they wheel out their resident financial hacks. Prof Krugman is correct. No matter what proof you use, Neo-Cons cannot bring themselves to admit we can put this weak economy behind us with functional jobs bills,Plural. Their only function is to keep this economy in the tank.
