It's more than a month after the election and a series of posts at Political Wire indicate that the Republican party is still a) not sure it really lost, b) still can't figure out why it lost, and c) still can't figure out why it lost.
You can scratch out "lousy candidates." They know they had perfect candidates.
Eliminate "lousy policies." Their policies are obviously so superior that Americans who voted against them were either a) aliens or b) drugged. Or worse: c) nerds.
Messaging? G'wan! Republicans own an entire media industry. You think they'd get messaging wrong?
Not enough money? Huh?
Democrats are smarter than they are? Oops -- let's not raise that possibility. Don't listen to Dick Armey.
So now they're scared. Those dumb Democrats have boxed them in using brute force.
