According to The Hill, PPP's poll today (done on behalf of Daily Kos and the SEIU) confirms Romney's 4-point lead.
Romney won 49 percent support from likely voters in the poll, compared to 45 percent for Obama.
It’s the first time all year Romney has led in the poll, which was conducted on behalf of liberal Daily Kos website and the Service Employees International Union. Obama led 49-45 percent in the group’s previous poll, conducted before last week’s debate.
Romney was boosted in the poll by gains among female voters. Obama still leads 51 to 45 over Romney among women, but he had a 15-percentage-point lead in the previous poll...
... Daily Kos pointed out that the bulk of polling was conducted on Friday, “at the height of Romney’s bounce,” and said polling conducted Saturday and Sunday showed Romney’s lead had receded....The Hill
In other words, a little this way, a little that way, and 27 more days of this to deal with. Anyway, there's nothing to worry about. Also in The Hill, Jimmy Carter, now 90, says he would be okay with Romney as president. Get into the weeds, though, and find out that The Hill is um greatly exaggerating. Carter seems to think Obama has it in the bag but "when pressed" that Romney would be the least awful alternative if the Republicans should win.
"I think of all the Republican candidates who are prominent, I think Romney would be the one I would rather see have a slight possibility to be president," on MSNBC's "Jansing & Co" in an interview that aired Wednesday.
When pressed on whether he would be "comfortable" with a Romney presidency, Carter responded, "I would rather have a Democrat, but I would be comfortable." ...The Hill
I am terrified.
