\What's the difference in cost for the "shut off" that obviously didn't and the newer probably more expensive shut of that generally works? Could you give me a guestimate? It usually comes down to either doing the right thing, the best thing, or the cheapest thing...which is only cheap for the companies, but unimaginably expensive for our environment and the creatures we are supoosed to be good stewards of...we blew it!

Half a million, I understand, per valve. But it's not a failsafe. A friend sent me this very useful piece from the LA Times -- recommended.

"We blew it" is right! The "we" being us as well as the oil companies.

Considering the value is stuck, and won't close. How would the remote trigger solve this problem.
