So far it seems that only one A+ list blogger that that this blogger reads regularly has noticed the AP reports and subsequent Robin Wright report in the Washington Post that Iran is increasing its arms shipments to the Taliban and to Iraq.
The reports seem well documented. But I'm suspicious, are you?
Let's just take a ramble down one path here. Let's imagine that one result of their reported action is renewed solidarity behind the Bush administration. Let's suppose the Democrats* throw their full weight in Congress behind a troop increase. No more calls for benchmarks or funding cuts or withdrawal dates. Bated breath, waiting for Dick Cheney to pick up the red telephone and order bombing to begin in Iran. Patriots all.
What does that do for Iran? On the other hand, what does it do for the Bush administration? Huh?
