Paul Kiel has an awful -- but funny -- discovery about a nefarious Republican senator. We know it's Republican, but not whether it's male or female.
Members of the House file their campaign finance reports electronically -- making them easy to access. Senators do not. Senators "only file paper versions, which are much more difficult to search through," Kiel reports. The bill which would change this -- require the Senate to do as the House does -- has been blocked "indefinitely" by a single senator, a Republican, an anonymous Republican.
Kiel suggests that we break this logjam by getting in touch with our senators. Commenters at his site suggest "it" is either Ted Stevens or Tom Coburn.
