Obama and JFK. Hillary vs. Bill.
Jonathan Alter, channeling Ted Sorensen, Jack Kennedy's adviser, sees an interesting parallel between Obama and JFK: they were both very popular in the country even as Washington insiders thought they couldn't get elected.
There are some other parallels. Clinging to Obama is the coal connection. Clinging to JFK was the ancestral sleaze connection. Both are both pretty, both very educated and even smarter, and both coldly ambitious in much the same way. Obama is easier going -- but that's because Kennedy was in pain much of the time and nothing was easy.
Just saying. Why? I'm interested in what's happening, over time, to Hillary Clinton and to Clinton vs. Obama. I think she's a very good senator. From what I know of her to date, I don't want her as president.
