Libby trial: Cheney did it. Heads rolling.

Jonathan Alter reports (on the Al Franken show as I type) that the morning was unexpectedly full of bombshells at the Libby trial.  Fitzgerald demonstrated that it was "all Cheney, all the time" -- Cheney directed Libby to tell the media about Valerie Plame Wilson.

"Just when you thought this White House couldn't go any lower..." says Franken.

The defense portrays Libby as the victim.  "Protect Rove and put Libby's neck in the meat grinder."

They're all turning on each other.  Already.  What's finally removed, says Alter, is any doubt whatsoever that the Iraq war was a total con game.
